It really is better to give than receive ... especially to children! Ellie and Alex (and their father) were overwhelmed with the generosity from Federated folks.

Marty Culbertson, Dir. of Mission & Service and Lynne Kessell, Dir. of the Women Fellowship Circles and Sit & Stitch at The Federated Church, collected donations for Ellie and Alex. The generosity of all involved was overwhelming! The single-parent father was speechless. The memory of the childrens' great grandmother and Federated member, Janet Fitch was deeply honored and we're sure she's smiling down from heaven. Thank you, Federated!
Miles Farmers Market donated 19 $25 gift cards for veterans who are now police officers. A big shout out to the Miles Farmers Market family. Donations accepted on our Support Menu or by purchasing MEB III Nike gear at https://eastbaystore.com/OFTS7586. The Fundraiser ends Nov. 19th.
Today we said thank you to an Army Veteran now Solon Police Officer. We salute those that signed the dotted line for this beautiful country and went on to take an oath to protect our streets.
As we adjust to life with Covid it's important to remember the children. Child abuse is up as is domestic violence. In the past, Heavenly Angels provided healthy snacks to inner-city children after their tumbling class. Today Heavenly Angels is helping one family with small children who's mother is incarcerated. Spread the love!
The times they are a-changing! Soup for the Soul has had to suspend operations due to the pandemic. We want to thank some of our previous cooks; Crystal, Kelli, Wayne, Francine, Tyrone and Rob.
We salute a U.S. Marine Veteran, now a Bedford police officer with another random donation. Thank you for your service!
Ohio City Power recently donated food to St. Paul's Outreach Dir. Chuck. The soup kitchen is not officially open but the food pantry is and Chuck and his staff continue to hand out bags of food to the hungry. Part of the donation honored Chuck and his staff and was to be used to buy lunch for them and thank them for their "essential" services to the poor.
