Round The World at Michael Zone Recreation Center Park last night rocked! Rec Instructor (far left) Nicole is a gamer and we loved her energy and participation. The young man holding a Michigan Spartans Football sweatshirt was the winner. The sweatshirt was donated by Rhys Tucker, brother of Spartans head coach, Mel Tucker. Thanks Tuckers for your support. Three of the men were at our first session and we love the new players ... girls rock too!

Our program called The Sky's The Limit got off to a terrific start last night thanks to the generosity and amazing support of Monica Lelutiu, Director of the Michael Zone Recreation Center, 6301 Lorain Ave, Cleveland, OH 44102 Map 🏀🏀🏀🏀 Eight fine young men participated in Round The World then went on to play 4 on 4. They are true winners! Another winner is officer Fritz of the Cleveland Police Dept. We thank him for his service in general but also for his extra service keeping us all safe. The young men range in ages 17-19 with about half in high school and the half working or looking for work.
All received a gift card from Subway® . Those who wish to bring a copy of their report cards to the next session were encouraged to do so. One young man already reached out to me last night for help in finding a job. This is how TSTL works and this what we do!!!! 🏀🏀🏀🏀 Next session: Friday, February 25, 2022 @ 7:00 p.m. at the Michael Zone Recreation Center, 6301 Lorain Ave, Cleveland, OH 44102 Map 🏀🏀🏀🏀 See you there! Photos: Lisa Braun. Ohio City Power supports social interaction and yes, fun! We were able to take some men from St. Herman's to a hockey game. The "goal" is to help all people find jobs.

While we wait for our gym at St. Paul's to let us in and we go back to our roots of helping adult homeless men, we have big news!
Imitation is the best kind of flattery! LeBron's 'I Promise School' mentors young people and promotes healthy nutrition and physical exercise. That's exactly what Ohio City Power does! We are scheduled for Friday January 7th from 8 to 9 p.m. at the Michael Zone Rec Center to play a little 'Round the World' basketball and some three-on-three. Please contact Lisa Braun directly at LisaBraun@OhioCityPower.net for more information and to reserve your spot! Officer Gregory Kelley and Sgt. Alfred Grant of the Oakwood Village Police Department, 24800 Broadway Ave, in Oakwood, Ohio were recipients of lunch cards from The Dolphin Restaurant, 26091 Broadway Ave, in Oakwood Village, Ohio. Thank you for your service to our country and to the people of Oakwood Village.
An eleven year old dominated the court today! His energy and positive attitude was an inspiration to all.
